Nordic walking for runners and other athletes

Sunday 6th October 9am til 12 noon or 1pm

This will be a 3 to 4 hour session teaching all the basics of nordic walking including running with poles (speedhyking).

This is the perfect exercise for all athletes whether you be recovering from injury/illness or trying to improve your cardio vascular performance enabling you go set new pb’s.

Running uses about 45% of your muscle mass whereas using poles with good technique will use 90% therefore increasing the body’s demand on the system whilst reducing the stress on your joints.

If you are running ultras or mountain/fell running then poles can be of great use if you know how to use them properly.

During this 3 to 4 hour session you will learn all the basics and running with poles enabling you to get the most out of this technique under training or competition conditions
